These if you care coffee filters are made of unbleached, chlorine-free paper (TCF). That is why you can enjoy your coffee without nasty aftertaste. The filters are woven on a golf way, so they don't just fall apart.
The coffee filters are therefore free from chlorine and safe to use in the compost heap! The coffee grounds is also a nice addition to your compost heap because of the amount of nitrogen it contains. Mix this with different types of material and your compost heap is grateful! Don't have a compost heap? Then you can sprinkle coffee grit (in moderation) with plants that need sour soil.
